The Ghosts of Searchlight are an instrumental rock band from Los Angeles, whose compositions are laden with surf, progressive, and post-rock influences. The trio consists of Brian Horn (The Ovalteens, Fat Toby) on guitar, Dean Hinds (Lopside) on bass, and Tanner Kling on drums. Brian and Dean began writing music together in the winter of 2003 and in late 2005 officially signed on Tanner for drum duties. Hinds left the band in early 2009 and Chris Nichols took over bass duties. A two-disc album featuring both Hinds and Nichols is scheduled for release some time in 2010.
