The Gays is a name that attracts various uses, so there is probably more than one artist called The Gays. 1) The Gays, single-songed solo project of Lord Fuxley of Black Tulip (see The Black Tulips) 2) A German comedy metal band that uses some hip hop elements and dresses in stage outfits which are extremely bad taste. It is a side project of Democrazed. 3) The Gays are a transatlantic musical collaboration between Steven DeLap—of his electro-producing project Casual Drug Use—and Ekaterina Choutova of her former project, Pirates/Cowboys.
