The Gateway Complex's origins started not in Ohio but within southern Indiana. We had not formed but was in the process of coming to be through the lives of Josh Dobay and Andrew Leach. The two played across the state of Indiana seeking the dream of touring and playing music for the rest of their days but sadly Indiana held nothing for them at the time. Josh has family here in Ohio and he knew the area fairly well but enough to know that greater opportunities awaited. Andrew was his best friend and trusted ally in metal and he saw promise and growth within. He presented Andrew the choice to come and start a true journey into music and begin his own life. With great thought the two made their choices and banded together the founding members of Gateway in their trip to Ohio. Cole Peters became an immediate member being Josh's cousin but also showing the same potential to grow as a guitarist. Time went on and many friends were made and finally the band became whole with its other members Adam Evans and Jacob Mathis. Untied in visions the group is what you know today.
