about

THE GAP YEAR RIOT have quickly built up a strong live following since their formation little over one year ago. In that short time, the band have opened the main stage at Live at Loch Lomond festival as well as touring and sharing stages with the likes of Twin Atlantic, The Dykeenies, Saving Aimee, Furthest Drive home and Drive by Argument. As well as this, their song “Stop Talking, Start Listening” has appeared on XFM, BBC Radio One and on screen on Setanta Sports. The band released their debut single “Hush Hush” on Monday 16th March. The song was recorded in Glasgow’s finest Park Lane Studio and mixed by legendary producer Romesh Dodangoda at Cardiff’s Long Wave Recording studio. The band recently went on a Scottish tour which included a sold out headline show at Glasgow’s ABC2 , and headline shows at Cafe Drummonds, Twa Tams and Studio 24. THE GAP YEAR RIOT have truly cut their performing teeth in the best way imaginable, their live shows burst with energy and prowess and will not disappoint.
