The Futureless is a dark electronic group. Their moody pop sound echoes the 80s but shows a definitive movement towards a new, modern style some have called "post-dance and electro-noir". From Toronto, Canada, the group consists of Shawn Tucker (vocals/guitar/programming), Sean-Patrick Nolan (vocals/synth/programming) and Shaun Savard (synth). Their debut EPs Futura, Futura2 and Futura3 will be released worldwide in 2011. With intense and emotional live performances at NXNE, CMW and theaters across Canada, The Futureless' showcases of live electronics, strong pop ethic and frenetic energy had Now Magazine calling them "Depeche Mode in a bar fight". In 2009 The Futureless met prolific indie producer Shawn Lefebvre (Dragonette, Muse, LA Guns, Cancer Bats etc.) and began recording what would become the Futura triptych: 3 separate EP's with a cognitive thread. In 2010, they released Futura to test their sound with audiences and critics. With very little hype, Futura garnered international praise, college radio play (peaking at #25 on Earshot!) and was lauded by the online blog community in Canada, US, UK, Netherlands and New Zealand. Based on the EP's success, The Futureless is re-releasing the debut on May 7th 2011 with Island Records digital distribution, followed by Futura2 in June 2011 and Futura3 in September 2011 with EMI distribution.
