The Fruits were a quirky fun indie punk driven band from the Cedar Falls, Iowa, US. Each band member used their first name plus the name of a fruit for a lineup that included Jeremy Pineapple doing vocals,Cory Wagner on guitar, Jonny Grapefruit on bass & backup vocals Musky Melons on drums. In 1997 they released a full length, The Fruits Are Slutgrabbin' Womanizers, on the local Ragman Records label. Jonny Grapefruit also participated in Cars Of The Country Music Stars and Jeremy Pineapple co-wrote the track My Baby Works at the Record Store for their album First Aid for Choking.
