After years of meticulously collecting binaural recordings and conducting visceral field experiments, the band once known as Billy Schuh and The Foundry re-emerges from a dark studio lost in the heart of the Midwest as The Foundry Field Recordings. They bring with them a body of work named, Prompts/Miscues. The album is fluid with picturesque places and serrated emotions that are capable of immersing even a most cautious observer in a precise composition of vast melodic layers. Carefully embedded deep within the recordings, this timely process results in an authentic cognitive snapshot of a forgotten memory that can be recalled via music alone. Becky Baxter, Benjamin Hook and Daniel Stegall create lovely shoegaze-pop, resonating with strategic feedback and dance-worthy hooks, as Billy Schuh leads The Foundry Field Recordings with his signature modest nostalgia. A quartet since 2003, The Foundry Field Recordings' have played with Spoon, The Super Furry Animals, Songs:Ohia/The Magnolia Electric Company, The Stills, Dressy Bessy, Robert Skoro and Aqueduct over its two year existence.
