Please note that the preferred and most commonly used name for this band is Folk Devils. Please scrobble accordingly. Folk Devils were an intense project of Ian Lowery (formerly of Ski Patrol) with a line up that consisted of Mark Whiteley (bass) Kris Jozajtis (guitar) and Al Cole (drums) previously of Ski Patrol. Didn't last long, but played some great gigs and made at least one semi-classic single in "Hank Turns Blue". Toured with the likes of The Fall, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Gun Club. A band that influenced Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized. Vitriolic lyrics on a bed of bastardized blues. The second incarnation consisted of a Ian Lowery, Nick Clift (ex ski patrol), Rob Downs and John Hamilton.
