Started in winter 2013 and born out of casual outdoor jams, The Flying Jays are a five piece folk project based out of Washington DC. They make music for backyards and coffeehouses, camping trips and folk festivals, but they mostly make music for fun. Whimsical banjo riffs, singer-songwriter sass, a plethora of stringed instruments, and some rad percussion characterize this collective of college students seeking to folk it up in the District and beyond.
