The Flux Capacitors are an instrumental/surf/noise/experimental group based in Cincinnati. The Capacitors are currently working on recording a new album to follow up their 2007 debut "John Q. Brains-For-Arms." The album is tentatively named "Fancy Cuts" and a rough mix of the song "Six And A Bear" is listenable on myspace.com/surfthefluxcapacitors. After the release of their debut LP, City Beat's music editor, Mike Breen, who describes the band by saying... "The Capacitors perhaps don’t reinvent the Surf music wheel, but they certainly have deflated all of the air, painted some avant ornamentation on it and refilled it with laughing gas. If Sonic Youth would have been inspired by Dick Dale instead of Glen Branca, this is what they would have sounded like." The Flux Capacitors are: Erick Stoll: lead guitar Sean Victory: bass/keys Ryann Walton: guitar/bass Mike Hamilton: drums User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
