The Floating World is the experimental folk/ambient solo project of Amanda Votta. Begun in 2005, five albums have been released: "Full Sturgeon Moon" (Hand/Eye, 2005), "Unda" (Barl Fire, 2005), "River of Flowers" (Foxglove, 2006), "The Apparition" (Cyclic Law, 2012) and "We Hunted (Reverb Worship, 2013). Amanda has also worked with Far Black Furlong; as well as the experimental drone ambient Secrets to the Sea with Neddal Ayad. She has also been half of Lacus Somniorum , with Gustaf Hildebrand.
