The Flattrakkers are a 3 piece band that has over the last 5 years turned their genuine passion for hot rods, kool cars, racin’ and ol’ speedway days into their own revved up rockabilly sound. On lead guitar and vocals is Mark Hawkins, a seasoned front man with high octane adrenaline runnin' through his veins, Matt Ward is always hard at work knowing how to get the crowd going by slappin' and climbin' up on the double bass and keeping it all together is Bruce "Real Skins McCoy" Findlay pounding the drums like it's nobodies business. Together these guys have got the hot roddin' rockabilly style down to a tee. It's been said before if you're not at least tappin' your foot - check your pulse! Performing live The Flattrakkers have their own unique sound and a versatile set list. Clear influences include The Stray Cats, Hank III, Johnny Cash, Sid King and Wayne Hancock to name a few. Their debut album - HIGH OCTANE to this day is receiving plenty of national and overseas interest proving The Flattrakkers have secured their place in the rockabilly scene. There are more than a few songs about kool cars and going fast, plenty of dance tunes and if you're into rockabilly, hot rods, racin’ or cruizin' you NEED to add High Octane to your CD collection.
