DJ Quik first came on the scene in 1991, spitting hard and fast rhymes about tonight and Compton, while rockin’ a long jheri curl. Fast forward to 2007, he’s dropped the DJ, permed the hair and reunited with long-time friend and collaborator AMG to form hip hop’s newest group and production company, The Fixxers. This is a transition Quik feels is a part of his natural evolution as an artist. The Fixxers have been in business since the latter part of 2006, and they have already built an impressive roster of artists that include Rick Ross, Yung Joc, Tiera Marie, The Game, Jim Jones, Boyz N Da Hood, new artist Jay Rock and more.
