The Fiery Piano started out in 2011, releasing his first collection of songs on the self-released Sirens EP. Intricate productions with catchy guitar melodies, distorted vocals and electronical details share ground on elaborate DIY pop songs, everything recorded and mixed in a small apartment in Stockholm. Instead of drum machines and a real drum kit, the one original member Gustaf Montelius mostly used chopped-up field recordings and cut-and-paste samples as the foundation and driving force behind the productions, creating a warm analogue sound, but with somewhat of a digital groove. To play the songs live, Kristoffer Byström, Max Anderhell and Daniel Nilsson joined the band. The Fiery Piano is currently in the progress of writing and recording new songs.
