There are at least seven bands called The Fans of these can be mentioned: 1) The Fans were formed in 1978 in Bristol, England. Their first single was an EP released in 1979 on the newly formed Fried Egg record label - "Givin’ Me That Look In Your Eyes". Their second single "You Don’t Live Here Anymore" was released on Fried Egg in 1980. The band secured a major publishing deal but internal frictions about musical direction caused the band to split. Both singles were picked up by Japanese indie label 1977 Records and re-released in 2001. A CD album containing the singles, demos and live recordings from a Bristol gig was released on 1977 Records in 2004. 2) The Fans formed in Jerusalem in 2004, a few months after the four original band members finished highschool. It didn't take long for the band to blend in the local music scene, performing in clubs and drawing attention. In 2005, in the midst of an intense gig schedule, The Fans recorded their debut single 'Warning Sign' independently, and transcended their activity to Tel Aviv. Despite the wide variety of indie rock bands, The Fans quickly stood out as they performed their energetic music everywhere they could, gaining a cult following and the local medias interest: "…a band that combines significant individuals" "…The Fans give their own interpretation to the new milleniums alternative guitar rock."
