The Fakes are formed by Simon Safranek (writer, filmmaker) and Pavel Kucera (TV presenter, music journalist). Since their foundation The Fakes have formed a strong position on the Czech club scene, they had shows as afterparty DJs with most of the czech major club bands, e.g Moimir Papalescu & The Nihilists, The Prostitutes, Sunshine, Bruno Ferrari, The Ecstasy Of Saint Theresa or Khoiba. They have also supported international names the Gossip (USA), Ladytron (UK), Digitalism (D), The Whip (UK), Robots In Disguise (UK), IAMX (UK), Warren Suicide (D). The Fakes played at big CZ festivals Planet Festival, Creamfields Central Europe, Electronic Beats. In Berlin they played at Berlin Insane V and in the Villa club.
