The Fa-la-lattes were formed in late November, 2004. Marcus and Daniel were room-mates in college. On thanksgiving break of 2004, and they were stranded in their dorm by a snow storm. In an effort to make the best of the situation, Dan and Marcus decided to play a few Christmas songs. The Christmas spirit that coalesced effortlessly between the two of them made the fact clear: this needed to be recorded for the ages. Thus, by a twist of fate and an act of God (i.e., a snow storm), the Fa-la-lattes were born. They produced their first album (“Welcome to Christmas”) in less than a week. And, in one more week, all the copies were sold. The Fa-la-lattes have been prolific. Producing a Christmas album annually since 2004, when they were formed. Their latest efforts have been made available for free download on their web-site (falalattes.com). Individual Bios (from the web-site) Daniel Michael: Daniel has trained in the art of Christmas music his whole life. He has been jingling bells since he was in the crib. Daniel is the both the back-bone and the spleen of the Fa-la-lattes. He supplies the Fa-la-lattes with subtle guitar, haunting bass, trickling mandolin, laughing ukulele, bouncing accordion, sliding dobro, picnicking banjo, enigmatic harmonica, ghastly drums, blistering trombone, and vocals.
