The Evil Speaks were founded in 1990 by Frank (Lyrics & Vocals), Oliver (Guitar), Daniel (Bass) und Martin (Drums) in Darmstadt-Germany. For three years The Evil Speaks created a new and harsh style of Death Rock, highly influenced at this time by such bands as Christian Death or Screams For Tina. During the next years The Evil Speaks established their name within the Gothic and Dark Rock scene with various live appereances and their first tape releases, followed by a contribution to the Death By Dawn Compilation 7 Inch on Apollyon Records in late 1991. During their most succesful time in 1992 The Evil Speaks recorded their first full length album. Due to personal problems within the band this album has never been released until now. In the same time the band lost their rehearsel rooms because of their occult lyrical direction. Without any chance to rehearse and different opinions on the future development of the band the personal problems within the band increased day by day. The planned release of the just recorded album was cannceld and postponed to an uncertain date. In the beginning of 1993 the short but successful story of The Evil Speaks ended suddenly after the band members deceided to split and to continue in separate ways. The band agreed to perform togther for a final show in their hometown. Shortly after this highly appreciated show every band member went his own way.
