When they were small and everything seemed big, it was the Wonder Years television show that gave them their first glimpse of history when super 8 video cameras and old-fashioned garage bands reigned supreme. In one episode Kevin and Paul start a band called the electric shoes to combat boredom with rock. Many years later a group of four college guys in Chicago started dancing to a pop song on the radio and decided to form a band like the one they wanted to be in as a kids. The electric shoes were born again. Pop music makes the city and the sky come alive for these guys, putting pep in a step that might otherwise be cold.
