Dan Neale, Rebecca Neale, Martin Gear and Jamie Oram create a timeless sound. They wrote the songs and recorded and mixed them in various homes of band members and band members’ relatives. The result is warm, nostalgic, at times epic, at times stripped to it’s bones – but always compelling. They’re one of those great bands that tell stories with their music, with every track conjuring up images so vivid that you can sense the narrative behind them. As mysterious as the out of focus figures that are projected behind their live show, the characters that Dan adopts in his lyrics are all finding their way between yearning for days gone by and realising that you have to make the most of the moment.
