'Like New Order floating on a cloud'- The Observer The Egg play live house, rocktronic, funk and ambient influenced dance music, using electronic and live instruments, video triggering, samples and live and vocoded vocals. Their music is inspired by artists such as Pink Floyd, Groove Armada, The Beloved, New Order, Underworld, and the shoegazing/nu-gazing scene, and can be found rocking the club scene as well as chilled out festival vibes. The band are well known on the UK festival circuit, but fit just as comfortably into DJ-led club environments and recently enjoyed a worldwide hit with Tocadisco's electro-house remix of their Air-like 'Walking Away' (and with David Guetta's bootleg of the same track). They have played throughout Europe, Australia and Brazil, and have just completed a three week US tour of the Mid-West and East Coast, as well as 2 nights including New York city's Nokia Theater having been welcomed into the US Jam Band Scene where they play comfortably alongside the scene's largest acts. They started life in the fertile early 90's Oxford music scene as Cornflower Concept featuring bassist Dave Gaydon and with him still in the line up became The Egg, slowing building a dedicated following with their relentlessly energetic two hour live music dance sets with vanguard conceptual video and lights.
