The EVERLASTING/PRAISE Spring Fist Order (Usually referred to as Everlasting Praise) is a Scottish experimental post-rock band formed in 2006 and based in the Scottish Borders. They have been actively writing music for the past 3 years. The band's sound has been shaped by many influences, namely bands such as Mono, Cult of Luna, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Isis and, to a lesser extent LITE, Pelican and Sigur Rós. Their compositions vary from quiet, delicate and frail sounds to loud slow doom and complex Math rock/game inspired rhythms. Their compositions are long and feature reverb - delayed - guitar with violin harmonies often accompanying. The vocals are sparse, depicting frailty and beauty in the pairing of the female and male voices. The Everlasting Praise began recording their debut album with Ethan's brother Joseph, in the summer of 2008 in a small attic bedroom of their home in Scotland. They continued to work on the album throughout 2008 and completed it in Spring 2009. The album launch was in held May and it is now available to purchase online or from band members. * Ethan Race – guitar, vocals * Andy Runciman – bass guitar * Gabriel Merryfield – Drums, Percussion, Violin * Anna Merryfield – violin, vocals * Joseph Race - producer User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
