Self described as indie-laptronic, the E.L.F combines abstract dance sounds with a cheeky indie aesthetic. The first solo musical project for Gerling's Darren Cross, the E.L.F uses laptop based samples as well as live vocals and instrumentation to bring an inspired, multi-layered edge to the E.L.F. sound. The E.L.F. started life after Gerling announced their hiatus in 2007. The following year saw the release of two EPs, 'Stevie Nicks Hearts' and 'Sunray In The Rave Cave'. The first full-length album, 'Plankton Icke And Tina Turner David City Limits', was released for free online in December 2010.
