The Dusk are a five piece indie/alternative/electro rock band based in Cheshire, north-west England. With a tireless and professional work ethic and an uncompromising attention to quality production values and performance, The Dusk are poised for big things in 2011. Formed in August 2010, The Dusk's members have each brought a wealth of musical talent and experience to develop a unique sound. Taking their influences from genres as diverse as trance, ambient, electro-pop, classical and grunge, the Dusk have molded a sonic landscape that is clearly their own. With the aim of reinvigorating the indie rock music scene, whilst also broadening the influences of indie music, The Dusk are producing catchy yet relevant material for a wide audience. Fresh and contemporary, yet redolent of the best years of the madchester and brit-pop scenes, The Dusk's sound is huge and exciting. Laced with samples and ambient synth, The Dusk's music is, however, heavily guitar driven, often loud, but just as often soft, acoustic and expressive. The Dusk's music has been favourably compared to some of the world's finest bands; from Doves, The Music or Happy Mondays, to Oasis, Muse, Killers, Radiohead, even U2.
