Formed in 2013, from the ashes of previous bands. The Distant North are a progressive, melodic band from Derby UK The Distant North are comprised of; Luke Askew - Vocals Dave Lewis - Guitar Rob Palin - Guitar James Gavuzzi - Guitar Kyle Tunnicliffe - Drums Kieran Hartley - Bass .We take our main influences from; Devil Sold His Soul, Echoes, Gates, Pianos Become The Teeth, The Elijah, Explosions In The Sky, Giants, Rinoa, Acres, Dead Swans and many more. We're looking at recording an E.P at the end of the year! Between now and then we're just looking at getting out there and playing our set to new faces. We'll play any venue and for next to nothing.
