The Disgruntled Taxpayers are a 3 piece experimental rock outfit hailing from Brisbane, Australia. They were formed after the release of the Jake Donehue E.P. "The Best Of Glam Rockabilly, Volume 1" but quickly found their own more group inspired vibe, thus Jake Donehue and The Disgruntled Taxpayers became simply The Disgruntled Taxpayers. You won't find too many love songs in a Taxpayers set, the subject matter leans more towards being a parody of modern day life and a running commentary and just how silly we all really are. We're strange things, us human types. The band consists of Jake Donehue on vocals/guitars, Mark Headey on bass and Paul Donehue on drums. Each of the guys is a 20 year music veteran and the bands extensive experience shows in their genre bending antics. After signing with Hungry Spaniel Records the guys are looking forward to a bright and rosy future and are looking forward to recording again before the end of 2014. The lads spent quite a bit of time recording the recently released E.P. "Over-ambitious, Selfish Corporate Whore" and are keen to get back out into gig land.
