There are at least two groups with that name. 1) The Dirty Earth - Folk/Punk/Soul-band, formed in Canada and moved to Australia. The Dirty Earth are a diverse collective shaped by 5 unique songwriters who drift through the southern regions of Adelaide. Their paths became entwined as musicians throughout 2010/2011. The music and lyrics are energetic, conscious, soulful, very expressive tunes, influenced by punk rock, folk, reggae, hip hop, soul and life. Members: Lady Dan Forget, Rylan Anderson, Shawn Eddie, Lindsay Mitchell, Leith Howlett, Markus Rude. Sounds Like: Defiance, Ohio, Against Me! Influences: Trampled By Turtles, Gogol Bordello, Frank Turner Albums: "Hello Beautiful World" (2012). 2) The Dirty Earth - Stoner/Hard-Rock-band with female vocal. The Dirty Earth are an original rock outfit established in July 2011 from Sydney, Australia. Inspired by music spanning numerous genres, the band cite artists such as MC5, The Rolling Stones and Thin Lizzy as being influential. A biting blitzkrieg of chugging distorted guitars, flecked with powerful, velvety vocals.
