There are multiple bands called The Devil Himself. 1. In early 2000's from the ashes of such notable Long Island punk bands Explosivo!, Splurge, and The Bones; The Devil Himself came together to write loud, in your face melodic punk. They self released a ep before dissolving and eventually morphing into Small Arms Dealer b] is a group of four hugely talented musicians: Dave Christensen (lead vocals/guitar), Dan Burnham (guitars/vocals), Shane Hunington (bass) and Jason Goldberg (drums), whose music not only pushes the bounds of their own personal experiences, but leaves the listener no choice but to do the same. Formed in 2006 in Santa Cruz, California, the quad quickly began penning tunes of love, loathing and fear, performing them to awe and accolades from local and regional audiences. The band plays heavy, deep melodies, with vocals, and a backbeat that create an unparalleled grungy, metallic sound, mirroring and mimicking our deepest thoughts, fears and secrets, as it glides along more than a few of the nine levels of darkness and punishment. Their eponymous offering, 'Pushing the Panic Button', was merely a foray around the edges of the group's intensely personal, almost self-deprecating emotion. tDH's second album, 'The Way Souls Sway', is a power-driven, one way ticket to the next level, with a rawness and intensity that is like a whipping you delight in….and then return for more.
