The Deed Poll were a five piece experimental/ambient group from Bradford, West Yorkshire. Made up of musicians from every end of the spectrum, whether it be Jazz or Opera. The wide range of styles shown in the music with thick layers of guitar, sax and trombone, funky bass lines, driving drums, wonderfully colourful chords and thought provoking lyrics. Their Debut album 'Blink and Believe' was released in April 2007 and was home recorded and mixed by Guitarist Andrew Dey. It features beuatiful female led piano ballads, whole tone dance music and even the odd polish folk song. The Deed Poll were desribed by Bradford music fanzine 'Mono' as a 'Suburban Sigur Ros', high praise indeed. The Deed Poll were, Kristian Cleworth (Vocals and Organ), Caroline Borowy (Synths, Piano and Organ) Andrew Dey (Trombone, Guitar and Synths) Rosie Hayes (Bass and Vocals) and Michael Dey (Drums, Percussion and Backing Vocals) Splitting up in September 07, they left noone doubting of what could have been huge.
