Hailing from the sunny Australian state of Queensland, The Decoration (www.facebook.com/thedecoration) is Jake Bosci and Rhian Thomas. The duo formed and started to pen songs in May 2011 and ventured to Atlanta, Georgia in August to record their self funded debut EP with producer Matt Malpass ( Rookie Of The Year, Lydia, The Ready Set, Train). The imagery, music and ideas behind, The Decoration ...come across as somewhat of a real life love story and the debut EP "Anywhere Is Home" reflects on both the ups and downs of true love, being relatable, relevant and at the same time, infectiously catchy and upbeat. Having spent a good part of 6 years touring and recording in Australian band Ellington, Jake called it a day late in 2010. "Ofcourse it was hard to leave something you started and put everything in to but sometimes in life, you lose yourself in something you want to be and i did that, i still struggle with that even now. I took some time away and realised that it was time for something new. To be honest, at this point in my life, i couldn't be anymore excited about making music again." says Jake. With Rhian by his side writing, singing and playing violin, The Decoration are poised and ready to take their music and story to the masses in 2012. "We're always thinking of new ideas, writing and trying to see where we can eventually take this project. It seems limitless right now, it's exciting to be apart of something like that!
