A small-town band hailing from Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The Decadent West formed in the fall of 2005 from the ashes of its former moniker, The Fauves. The band is held together by creative interest and comradery--rarely are there more than 2 members of 5 in the same city for any period of time. With the vocalist/lyricist residing in Los Angeles, it seems any future gigs are out of question, however a proper album is being pieced together in California with the help of other musicians. Songs are still written through use of filesharing, and so far the band has ammassed somewhere close to 20 originals since its existence.
