January 2009 can be considered as the starting point of this Moscow metalcore band. Originally The Day All Fades emphasized melodic death metal with higher tunnings and using keyboards. The original band members are: Denis Veretennikov (vocals), Konstantin Kazakov (guitar), Dmitry Pozhidaev (guitar), Roman Barkhatkin (bass guitar) and Dmitry Grechishnikov (drums). During the first year, new members replaced the former ones after they had left. The musicians realized that the great change is necessary. It was decided to play more aggressive music with lower tunings, which is distinctive from hardcore and metalcore and is not entirely without melody. In that time, new members – Denis Esakov (guitar) and Philip Ivanov (bass guitar) came to The Day All Fades. The band started to write a completely different material, played in many concerts, took part in other competitions. Philip Ivanov and one of the founders – Denis Veretennikov left the band for personal reasons in April 2010. After searching, The Day All Fades found a new vocalist – Maria Ekimovskaya and a new bass guitarist – Nikita Aborin, who gave new force to the development. After this, the band was ready to record single Storm, which was released in Internet for public judgement. In winter 2011 The Day All Fades headed into the KIV records studio to record their debut album 15 Sievert, which was released on CD on July 1st 2011 and was an aggressive Swedish melodic death metal with excessive hardcore and metalcore riff
