Portland, Oregon based trio The Criminal World will be releasing four songs of guitar driven destructive pop perfection with Pure Vory out on Portland based label Cercle Social Records. The songs feature the lush and swirling guitars of Cocteau Twins combined with the deep instrumental textures of Lowlife with an icing of misanthropic angst. With fluttering guitar duties and vocals being shared between Tobias Sinclair and Conrad Vollmer of Soft Kill (Profound Lore Records) and Nicole Colbath on synth, The Criminal World creates a highly atmospheric suite of songs, drawing from the darkness of post punk but with an infectious and undeniable pop sentiment.
