When you hear the Creteens's Benji play guitar, scream and howl ,you'll know that late 90's Memphis garage punk has traveled across the seas and into the ears of teenagers from Paris. The Creteens wear their influences on their sleeves I.e. the Oblivians, King Louie, The Reatards, 68 Comeback Elvis Presley. They don't brag originality, but sear you with punk perfection that is rooted in southern blues. Benji does all the recordings at his basement bedroom in a comfortable Parisian squat.
