The Crazies Will Destroy You "...unashamed synchronized jumping on stage..." -- Bandega review After the release of his full length album _Yakuza Attack Dog_, Tony Schoenberg went looking for the rest of his band. Produced in 2006, the album showcased Lima Bean alum Schoenberg's uncanny ability to turn out song after singable song spanning the gamut of human experience in the aughts: celebrity stalkers; friends with benefits; sympathetic meth heads. But Tony was just one man with a guitar. He needed more. As with so many memorable relationships, that of the San Francisco-based Crazies begins with a post on Craigslist, where Tony solicited the services of alt-rock drummer and Alabama native Tina Davis. Soon to join was ska bassist Jade Argento bringing vocal sweetness and visual presence to the show. Completing the quartet was guitarist David Alan Kurtz and his special blend of travis picking and twangy space rock. The Crazies played their first show at Hemlock Tavern in January 2007 and have since performed throughout the San Francisco Bay area with the likes of Saturday Looks Good To Me, The Roman Numerals, The Last Goodnight, Jessie Deluxe, Ladyhawk, and Dora Flood. A memorable performance at The Independent in April of 2008 landed them a spot on the big stage at San Francisco's ING Bay to Breakers Footstock, where they congratulated Kenyan running superstars before taking the stage in front of thousands of drunks and shivering naked people.
