The Cooperettes are four sisters raised in Philadelphia, Pa. Their names are Janette, Debbie, Tina and Angie. They started singing in church in the early 1960's and later switched over to R&B music. They recorded Shing-a-ling, Everything's Wrong, School is Out, Win all your love, Spiral Road, Life has no meaning now, Don't trust him and Trouble. They traveled all over the USA and Europe. They later married and had children. Their sister Debbie passed away in 1989 after suffering with cancer. Their mother, Ethel Cooper, passed away in 1998 and the other sisters live in different states now. They no longer sing R&B and are active with their other occupations. During their travels they sang with different artist, i.e. David Ruffin, The Mad Ladds, James Brown, Pattie LaBelle and the Bluebells, The Staple Singers, The Artistics, James and Bobby Purify, Eddie Kendricks, Blue Magic, The Stylistics and other groups. They were managed by a radio personality on WHAT Radio in Philadelphia by the name of Sonny Hopson.
