Isle Of Wight, United Kingdom (2006 - present) The Cool Connection formed in 2006 from musicians playing the South Coast Jazz Circuit, featuring elements of Smooth Jazz, Soul and Blues. Consisting of Queenie (vocals) and Ken Lowe (keyboards) and guest artists, playing a wide variety of musical genres including laid-back jazz, blues, latin and soul. Currently performing and recording in the South of England, influences include Sade, Diana Krall, Nora Jones, Joss Stone, Madeilen Peyroux, Amy Winehouse, Stacey Kent and Corinne Bailey Rae. Pianist Ken Lowe (formerly Firefly and Shades of Jazz) style of playing is influenced by pioneering Jazz pianists and composers Horace Silver, Herbie Hancock and Joe Zawinul. Female vocalist Queenie (formerly Diva, Long Tally Sally and Mama Boss) performed from an early age on the London Folk and Blues Circuit before fronting various Funk, Blues and Soul bands on the club scene. Cool Connection have co-written and released 3 albums of original songs, - Original Cool (2009), Cool It ! (2010) and Encore Amour (2012). The single Fever'd (2010) a re-working of the Peggy Lee classic Fever was released following the success of their live performances of this popular song. The single Stranded (2011) has been played on internet radio stations including Women of Substance Radio.
