The Clams are a rock and roll group from Chicago. Their tones are fat and their vibrations rattle one’s bowels. "...slow-going swirling psych with some nicely placed distorted jam-outs to keep things kicking. I suggest listening to these harmonies on a hammock somewhere, and let the melodic drones and deep tones take you to someplace peaceful. But I don't really recommend falling asleep, because The Clams' rock-outs are just right around the corner and will wake your relaxed ass up in a heartbeat. And who wants to wake with a panicked start in a hammock? That just leads to overturned hopes and dreams." ---Oh My Rockness )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) "The Clams sound like the kind of band that your record collecting friend wishes he was in....their droning aspects are not soft and floaty. This is Drone with a capital D. The kind of Boris Drone that you can feel. The combination of Fender Bassman amps and Russian Big Muffs hits you in the gut and washes over everything in waves of power. I like the Clams." ---Sock Monkey Sound User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
