...and now that they've slipped out of the shadows and firmly into the New Orleans indie rock scene, The City Life is ready to turn their teeth to the rest of the world and spread their namesake even farther. With a hip, pop vibe that is surprisingly poignant and mature, this humble hoard of five young talents has hoisted themselves from obscurity to notoriety in their home market. These guys and gal already have an inspired debut album under their belt, and wouldn't you know it, The City Life is back in the studio, carefully planning their attack on the ears, eyes, and hearts that lie beyond the N.O.L.A. city limits. After the well received release of their first album ("What's That Sound?") in October of 2006, The City Life created quite a name for themselves in the vibrantly growing local indie rock scene, getting great reviews in local college publications and a feature article in Where Y' At? magazine's "Ones to Watch" section. Their success has brought them many things, such as 3rd place in the National M.E.I.S.A 2007 Battle of the Bands and a loyal following of Lifers (the band's nickname for their beloved fans) of all ages, with consistent crowds of 150-250 people ranging from ages 13-50.
