'60s garage rock from Formed in Memphis, TN, United States (Note; 60s The Changing Tymes is Formed in Gate City , VA, United States. There also a another 60s US ROCK group called The Changing Tymes.) actually it was The Changin' Tymes. They were a popular Memphis Tenn band comprised of Larry Moore and Charles Ferrer(writers of Blue Music Box) Brit Warner, Glenn Frazier and Bruce Barham. Blue Music Box was released by The Changin' Tymes locally. About 8 tunes were recorded in speculation for Stan Kessler. At that time Memphis was 98% soul music and blue eyed soul dance bands, with a few pop tunes, and had no market connections for the west coast influenced sound of the Tymes. Hark the Child, an anti war themed tune, and Blue Music Box became favs of todays retro fans. The Tymes were built around excellent vocal harmonies, the twelve string guitar of Brit, strong lead vocals of Larry Moore and Brit, bass by Bruce, guitar six electrics by Glenn, and rhythm of Charles. The Tymes were called to open for Jimi Hendrix when his plane was late for his Memphis appearance at the Ellis Auditorium. The Tymes in this incarnation performed about three years, the first incarnations had Eddy Campbell on lead guitar and Bill Newman on drums, and began about 1966...the most popular configuration lasted until late 1969, when Bruce was kicked out of the group as parents of Brit took over and incorporated.
