Berlin based"The chameleon Orchestra" was founded by synesthetics* artist MarvaMK and DJ Flex in 1999. DJ Flex just entered the stage when Marva+Maschin-Klan was playing live at a underground party by ANTAMUNA at the Legendary I.M.EIMER club in 1997. At 4´o clock in the morning when MarvaMK was performing his dark ELEKTRO tracks. Flex asked if he could mix in a few Breakbeats on the Record Decks in the Back of the stage. Marvamk said: "You are funny, man! But okay, lets give it a try" and DJ FLEx mixed perfectly fitting breakbeats and scratches to MarvaMKs live set.DJ Flex surprised the audience by scratching with his feet. This was the beginning of their cooperation. They had a few live gigs together, at really different locations (like the Technoclub Tresor-Berlin,art and fashion events, Galleries Lafayette & IFA Fair)..In the year 2000 they released their first self produced CD album featuring the afro-german singer Ngozi M.
