Mr Chaltzman is a paradoxical character, a bubbling, hyperactive, voluble dabbler happy in both light and shadow. Active on all fronts, he diversifies so as to satisfy an insatiable need to express himself with collages, sculptures, events, installations and music. He likes to be everywhere and nowhere. Underground and elusive, he was a part of various artists groups such as Honk!, The Boom-Boom X-perience in association with the artist Pablo Benavides from Madrid, and many more exhibitions and installations in venues as obscure as improbable. Mr Chaltzman latest avatar is a solitary project, subjected to a striving for travel, various encounters and experiences and in wich he gives us his quirky vision of a world of shadows and hidden doors, wrapped in gutsy electro. A decadent electronica fed on Sex, drugs and Rock'n'roll. The ChaltzmanModel is closer to the Sex Pistols's punk-rock and the Fad Gadget's early hybridations than the strass and the glitter of the parisian dance-floors... Mr Chaltzman tells us of a world permeated with books by Maurice G. Dantec and Brett Easton Ellis and of the unsettling athosphere of Araki and Lynch films. With Life is Sexy, The ChaltzmanModel carries us off again into this sweaty dimension where chic loosers rub shoulders with trash icons.
