We are not hip. We are not trust fund babies. We are not signed. We have no investors. We do not always have a place to sleep at night. Ours is a game of nickel-by-nickel warfare. Ours is replacing two or three days of food a week with cigarettes and coffee to get the recording pay in. Ours is a show-by-show fight to convert people back to rock. Ours is a mission to make people happy again. We make bad puns. We are young. We are optimistic. We want it. We take pride in our recordings, our sound, and our members. We are the best live band you will see this year. We are hopeful and honorable. We are experienced. We can sing the blues. We choose to make joyful music that is life-affirming, if only to us. We are slightly circumlocutory. There are four of us, two guitars, lots of backing vocals, a bass, a drum set, and no keys. We call ourselves The Business People. And we mean business.
