There is more than one artist with this name, including: 1) a Scottish- Canadian 'super-group' founded in 2006; 2) a British band based in Brighton. 1) The Burns Unit was a Scottish- Canadian 'super-group' featuring King Creosote, Emma Pollock, Future Pilot AKA, Karine Polwart, Kim Edgar, Mattie Foulds, Michael Johnston and MC Soom T. Their only album, 'Side Show', was released in August 2010. 2) The Burns Unit was a British band based in Brighton. The band supported, The Pipettes, The Poppycocks, and featured at the Bleeding Hearts Club in Brighton. The band self-released their only album, 'Rock Bottom', in 2008.
