The Break Down is a Toronto based original Dance/Funk/Hip Hop ensemble. They are a socially conscious group which has led them to create and headline the annual SunFunk Earth Day festival which is in it’s 3rd year. SunFunk brings together artists of many disciplines (music, visual art, theatre, fashion & dance) under one roof to celebrate and bring awareness to Earth Day. The Break Down were honored to have been invited to play at the opening of the largest residential green roof in North America (2010) and have performed at various public events including The Thornhill Village Music Festival, The Danforth Music Festival & The Toronto Independent Music Awards. As of 2010, songs from their debut self titled album (2009) have been featured on the video game Rock Band 3. The band is currently recording material for their follow up album.
