There are at least 2 punk bands called The Brats: 1. The Brats were a 70s proto-punk/glam band from New York. After having left the New York Dolls in 1972, Rick Rivets formed The Brats with Keith West (vocals), David Leeds (bass, vocals) & Ken "Sparky" Donovan (drums). Rick Rivets left the Brats in 1977 and formed the Corpse Grinders. 2. The Brats existed for about ten minutes or so... maybe a little longer. Long enough to record one awesome EP for Zhengaya records then vanish into obscurity. Fronted by the always entertaining Florian Pühs, formerly of Surf Nazis Must Die & Adolf Hitler Klan, currently of HERPES.
