All under pinned by a delicately simple, yet intimate production that is both uplifting and moving.” The Blue Temple Lions is the creation of Paul Seccombe, who lives and makes his music in the small settlement of Pinehaven, near Wellington in New Zealand. Paul was born in Sussex, England, but moved to New Zealand in 1991. Paul describes The Blue Temple Lions as folk music, but this encompasses many things including, indie, country, blues, semi-religious themes, mythological stories, nursery rhyme and ambient soundscapes. “I try to evoke feelings of intimacy and fragility within my music. I purposefully keep my production simple and clean and my vocals close and emotive , layering harmonies to build passion and create drama at key points” This is folk music for the modern age, but recounting themes and stories as old as time itself.
