The Blue Chairs started their music back in the early 90’s when Juergen Felder and Erich Hartig decided to record songs on their 8 track tape recorder in Juergen’s bedroom. They’ve known each other since their school days and already started making music in the early 80’s. First just called “The Chairs” a close friend of them came up with “The Blue Chairs” – unfortunately another band already owned the other name. By now they’ve recorded about a few hundred demo songs and finished just a hand full – one of them “Ask me tomorrow” was released on the compilation sampler “These are the songs we always wanted to hear” by Firestation Tower Records in Germany. It was also released as a special 500 limited 2 track CD EP that was published by Casino Records. The Blue Chairs are located in different cities which makes it difficult for them to record together. Nevertheless, in 2008 they started to record their first album that might be finished in winter. Influences: The Church (and Solo), The Beatles, Elvis, The Who, The Jam, Die Profis, Start, Stunde X, S-Chords, Crystal Set, Tommy Keene, Go-Betweens, Gigolo Aunts, Pyramidiacs, Cheap Trick, The Rooks, Hoodoo Gurus, Velvet Crush, Fischer Z, John Watts, Squire and many more … User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
