The band's love/hate relationship creates a volatile sound, with darkly poetic lyrics set to raw, stripped back guitar and drums; Think Queens of The Stone Age battling The White Stripes. They have finished work on their debut album Sickle Sell Saturday Night which is due for release 1st September 2010, in follow up to their well-received Parade of Piranhas EP. The Black Knights have received great press including full page spreads in the Manchester Evening News/City Life and the Bolton News, also securing a feature/interview in Sandman Magazine. They have received airplay of their demo on a number stations including XFM & BBC6 Music, with regular plays, an interview and session for BBC Manchester Introducing. ‘We generally don’t get along on a personal level; most days I can’t stand to be in the same building as that fucker’ offers Thomas Richard Pickford III (Drums), ‘but when we come together as The Black Knights, the whole thing just gels.
