The Bitter Sweets (also spelled The Bittersweets) were a girl group from the 1960s: They hailed from Cleveland, Ohio and were comprised of Judi Rodgers (vocals/guitar), Louie Dula (drums), Marilyn Rodgers Green (keyboards), Penny Cash (bass), and Rosi Hollo (guitar). Their debut, “The Hurtin’ Kind” b/w “Summertime,” was released on Tema in 1965. The same year they released “What a Lonely Way to Start the Summertime” b/w “Mark My Words” on Cameo. 2. The Bitter Sweets were a garage/R&B/beat band from Vancouver, Canada, around 1966. Personnel: Rob Deans ~ Organ; Brian Fisher ~ Lead Vocals; Steve Grosvenor ~ Lead Guitar; Lawrence A. The Bitter Sweets is an Australian band located in and around Melbourne, Formed around about 2000, they have undergone several lineup changes around the founding members, Jen & Chris, and a complete reinvention in mid 2008.
